1. Acceptance
By accessing freeqrcodescanneronline.com ("the Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. No account is created or required — there is no signup on this site.
2. The service
QRCodeScanner is a free web-based tool that decodes QR codes in your browser from camera input, uploaded images, or pasted screenshots. It is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or error-free decoding.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service to decode QR codes as part of unlawful activity.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the hosting infrastructure.
- Do not redistribute the Service as your own product without permission.
4. Scanned content is your responsibility
QR codes can point anywhere, including malicious destinations. While the Service flags some common risk signals (such as IP-address hosts, punycode domains, and link shorteners), no automated check is complete. You are responsible for deciding whether to open a decoded link or act on a decoded payload. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from content contained in QR codes you scan.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that every QR code will be decoded successfully or that safety flags will always be accurate.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
7. Local data
Scan history and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. You may clear them at any time. We cannot recover data deleted from your device because it never existed on ours.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
